PPL Corporation Reports Second-Quarter 2021 Earnings
Company continues to advance strategic repositioning, announces plan to repurchase approximately $500 million in PPL shares in 2021 and sets new 2050 net-zero carbon emissions goal.
Net-Zero Emissions by 2050
PPL announced that it has set a new goal to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 and has accelerated its previous 80% reduction goal to serve as an interim target for 2040. In addition, the company set an interim reduction target of 70% by 2035.
